Learn To Kayak Days

Looking for an escape? Come play on the big kids playground, the Upper Delaware River, and learn to kayak. Who would guess you could find whitewater in your own backyard! Kayaking, is one of the fastest growing recreational activities today. We will like to teach you everything you need to know to get started. Our learn-to-kayak course is designed to teach basic skills, entering and exiting a kayak, how to read and run the river and various paddling strokes. We offer a low student to instructor ratio to build your comfort and confidence to play on this unique playground. After taking this course you should feel comfortable wrestling the river on your own in a solo kayak or with a partner in a tandem. THE WATER AWAITS YOU!

Challenge the river 1-on-1 in an easy to use kayak and a guided river trip. Due to the popularity of Kittatinny's Learn to Kayak Days, they will now be held on: May 22, June 6, July 11 & 18, Aug 8 & 22, Sept 11.

What you will need

• Sunscreen
  
• Packed lunch in a waterproof container (baggies work)
  
• Water (to drink)
  
• Water shoes
  
• Change of clothing to leave in your car (optional)

Check-in for this trip is 9:00 am at our Matamoras Kittatinny Canoes Base, where you will park your car and be transported to our Pond Eddy base.
