Learn Kayaking

Looking for an escape? Come play on the big kids playground, the Upper Delaware River. Who would guess you could find whitewater in your own backyard. Kayaking is one of the fastest growing recreational activities today. We will like to teach you everything you need to know to get started and to learn kayaking. Our kayaking course is designed to teach basic skills, entering and exiting a kayak, how to read and run the river and various paddling strokes. We offer a low student to instructor ratio to build your comfort and confidence to play on this unique playground. After taking this course you should feel comfortable wrestling the river on your own in a solo kayak or with a partner in a tandem. Come join Kittatinny, and Learn Kayaking! THE WATER AWAITS YOU!

What you will need

• Sunscreen
  
• Packed lunch in a waterproof container (baggies work)
  
• Water (to drink)
  
• Water shoes
  
• Change of clothing to leave in your car (optional)

Check in for this trip is 9 am at our Matamoras Kittatinny Canoes Base, where you will park your car and be transported to our Pond Eddy base.
